We begin with an overview of the region's climate challenges and introduce the Center of Excellence model, showcasing how international agricultural partnerships operate on the ground. We then take an in-depth look at precision water management, highlighting automated drip irrigation and fertigation systems that deliver nutrients directly to plant roots. To sustain these operations, the center utilizes massive 3.2-million-liter canal water storage tanks equipped with advanced filtration systems for reliable micro-irrigation across orchards and fields.
As the episode continues, we explore crop adaptation strategies in saline and poor-water conditions, focusing on date palm cultivation. We then tour the center's protected cultivation facilities including polyhouses and net houses designed to control temperature and protect crops from severe heat and pests.
