Our commitment to accuracy, independence, and fair reporting.
Jerusalem Wallah is an independent publication covering the India–Israel relationship, Jerusalem, and West Asian geopolitics. These editorial standards govern how we research, write, edit, and publish all content on this site.
1. Independence
Jerusalem Wallah is editorially independent. Our journalism is not directed by any government, political party, embassy, lobbying group, or commercial advertiser. We accept no paid content, sponsored articles, or advertorial placements. All editorial decisions:including which stories to cover, how to frame them, and which opinions to publish:are made solely by our editorial team.
2. Accuracy
We are committed to publishing only what we believe to be accurate and well-sourced. Before publication, factual claims are checked against primary sources, official documents, statements, or on-the-record interviews wherever possible. We distinguish clearly between verified facts, informed analysis, and opinion. Where we are uncertain of a fact, we say so.
3. Sources and Attribution
We name our sources wherever possible. When sources request anonymity, we require a compelling reason and we describe the source's general position or role so readers can assess credibility. We do not publish information from anonymous sources unless it is independently corroborated or its significance clearly outweighs the lack of attribution. All quoted material is accurate and in context.
Source Protection and Personal Data: In accordance with the journalistic exemption recognised under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we exercise the right to protect the identity of confidential sources where disclosure would endanger them or undermine press freedom. The DPDP Act (Section 17) recognises that certain processing of personal data may be necessary for journalistic, research, archival, or statistical purposes. Where we process personal data in the exercise of journalism, we do so only to the extent necessary, with appropriate protections in place, and in the public interest.
4. Opinion and Analysis
Content published under the “Opinions” category represents the views of named individual authors. Opinion authors are identified clearly, and their pieces are clearly labelled as opinion or commentary. The publication of an opinion piece does not imply endorsement of the views expressed by Jerusalem Wallah as an institution. We publish a range of perspectives, including those our editorial team may disagree with, provided they are argued in good faith and do not incite hatred or violence.
5. Corrections Policy
We correct errors promptly and transparently. When a factual error is identified in a published article, we update the article and append a clearly labelled correction noting what was changed and when. We do not silently alter published content. If you believe we have published an error, please contact us at support@jerusalemwallah.com with the specific claim and the evidence for the correction.
6. Fairness and Balance
We aim to represent all significant perspectives in our reporting, particularly on contested political and diplomatic questions. Where a story involves criticism of an individual, organisation, or government, we seek their response before publication. We do not pursue a partisan agenda and we hold all parties:regardless of nationality, religion, or political affiliation:to the same standards of scrutiny.
7. Conflicts of Interest
Editorial staff and contributors are required to disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could reasonably be seen to affect their reporting on a given subject. Where a conflict of interest exists and cannot be adequately managed, the individual will not cover that subject. We do not accept gifts, travel, or hospitality from governments, embassies, or organisations we cover.
8. Personal Data in Editorial Content
Our editorial work may involve the publication of personal information about public figures, government officials, or others whose conduct is in the public interest. Where we publish such information, we do so to the minimum extent necessary for the public interest purpose, consistent with Section 17 of the DPDP Act (exemptions for journalism and research). We do not publish personal data about private individuals beyond what is strictly necessary for accurate reporting. Individuals who believe their personal data has been published incorrectly or excessively may contact us via our Grievance Officer (see Section 10).
9. Images and Video
All images used on Jerusalem Wallah are either original, licensed, credited to their source, or in the public domain. We do not manipulate photographs in ways that misrepresent events or subjects. Image captions are accurate and attributions are included wherever required.
10. Complaints and Grievance Redressal
We welcome feedback from our readers. If you have a complaint about our editorial content or about the processing of your personal data by Jerusalem Wallah under the DPDP Act, please write to our Grievance Officer:

For editorial complaints unrelated to personal data, we aim to respond within 14 days. If you are not satisfied with our response to a personal data grievance, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India at www.meity.gov.in.
